WWI Era US Army AEF M1917 Garrison Cartridge Belt w/Pouches - Khaki Color - Excellent Condition - RARE
Up for Auction is a WWI Era US Army AEF M1917 Garrison Cartridge  Belt w/Pouches.  It includes two puckered cartridge pouches.  There are no visible markings on the belt or the pouches.  It is Khaki in color. The belt is used, see photo's for condition.  It is in Excellent Condition, no fraying or tears.
Hardware still has alot of the original blacken finish left.  Very Nice condition for it's age.  These are not common and are difficult to find in this condition, complete with the two pouches.
This was used by sentries on Garrison or Guard Duty at US Military Installations.  The belt would be worn with one or two Garrison Ammo pouches.  These pouches would hold two stripper clips of .30-06 ammunition for the M1903 Springfield Rifle.
