WWI AEF US Army/USMC M1916 Leather Belt Holster for the Colt M1911 .45acp Pistol - RARE: Marked: Sears 1917 w/L.C. Inspector Initals - Very Nice Condition - RARE
Up for sale is WWI AEF US Army/USMC M1916 Leather Belt Holster for the Colt M1911 45acp Pistol.  This is a vintage old military belt holster.  It is used, see photo's for Condition.  The leather is still soft and flexible.  All the stiching is tight and not fraying.  Some minor surface cracks on the flap and the body.  It still has the internal leather block.  The leather has darkened somewhat with age, but still reatains that rich russet brown color.  It has a nicely marked US oval logo on the flap and it is marked: Sears 1917 on the rear.  It has the L.C. inspectors initals on the rear.  The markings on the rear are faint but readable.  Hard to find these early holsters in this condition.
This is a Very Nice example of a WWI holster.  This would make a welcomed addition to any WWI AEF Collection.
