WWI AEF US Army/USMC M1912 Leather Swivel Belt Holster for the Colt M1911 .45 Pistol - Rock Island Arsenal Dated 1915 - Nice Condition - RARE
Up for auction is an Original WWI AEF US Army/USMC M1912 Swivel Leather Belt Holster.  The holster is used, see photo's for condition.  The leather is still flexible.  Some wrinkling and minor surface cracking on the flap.  No crazing.  Does have the internal block.  The leather leg strap is missing.
The leather has darkened with age.  It has the US marking on the front is Extremely faint.  It is marked Rock Island Arsenal 1915 on the rear.  Marking are very faint, but readable.  Very Nice original holster.
This was the first pattern holster adopted by the US Army for the M1911 Pistol.  Initally used by the Cavalry and Infantry Units during WWI.
