WWI AEF US Army/USMC M1912 Leather Swivel Belt Holster for the Colt M1911 .45 Pistol - Rock Island Arsenal Dated 1913 - Nice Condition - RARE
Up for auction is an Original WWI AEF US Army/USMC M1912 Swivel Leather Belt Holster. The holster is used, see photo's for condition.  The leather is still soft and supple.  Some wrinkling of the leather, no deep cracks or crazing  Some scuffing of the leather from prior usage. Some minor surface cracks on the leather.  All stitching is still intact.  Still has the internal block.  The leather has darkened with age.  It has a faint US marking on the front and is very very faintly marked: Rock Island Arsenal 1913 on the rear.  Nice original holster in very nice condition.
This was the first pattern holster adopted by the US Army for the M1911 Pistol.  Initally used by the Cavalry and Infantry Units during WWI.
