    Description

This is a nice World War I Model 1910 Army dismounted cartridge belt with eagle snaps that is in very good condition. It is constructed of heavy brown canvas duck with 10 gathered pockets, each to hold two 5-round stripper clips. Each pocket is with the early, rimless eagle snaps all of which are functional. The interior of the belt is regimentally marked, “CO. E 69”. Made by MILLS WOVEN CARTRIDGE BELT CO./WORCESTER MASS. USA with date stamping worn away from age. A nice example marked to the famous “Fighting 69th” New York Irish Regiment whose glorious history needs no elaboration.
