    Description

    Nice single tag named to Jake H Sirk from Illinois.  Sirk enlisted in October of 1917 at Camp Grant and was posted to the 32nd Division soon after.  He went over with the Supply Company of the 127th Infantry as a Wagoner, and was promoted to PFC while overseas.  I find no notes of his being wounded in the monthly muster rolls - but he very well could have been.  Too bad Illinois soldiers are so tough to research!  I've already requested a photo of his headstone be added to his findagrave, so if you're lucky maybe it notes a Purple Heart or something on it.
    Tag is in good condition but does show some corrosion around the edge as seen.
