Description
This is a WWI 1908 The Stonebridge Manufacturing Co. Folding Field LanternMade in the U.S.A. with pattens completed in 1906 and 1908. Made by the Stonebridge Manufacturing Company, N.Y.C. and stamped on top side.
Used in the field for light where a candle of some kind would be placed inside and the light would illuminate through the sides, front and top thick cellophane material. This piece has been used quite a bit and in working condition. A great piece of history to own for sure especially since WWI items are harder and harder to find. Metal wire at the top for holding. To collapse, the bottom square part is pushed up and into the lantern, the the sides are folded square.
Measures 12" inches tall and 5" inches squared opened.
