M1910 Mess Kit Knife--RIA 1917--Unit Marked
Original WW1 US M1910 mess kit knife, steel blade with cast aluminum handle and incised markings U.S./R.I.A. 1917. Has unit marking 143 H at front rear of handle, indicating issue to Company H, 143rd Infantry Regiment [36th Division, Texas National Guard]. Knife has been heavily used, with tarnish to handle and sharpening marks to blade, but will clean better if desired. Nice piece for any collector of 36th Division items and is in good condition.
