M1917 Canteen Extender Hanger
Original WW1 canteen extender/hanger for use with the M1917 enlisted men's medical belt, khaki cotton and web construction with brass belt hook and eyelets. It was found that the canteen did not hang properly when the belt pockets were filled, therefore this extender was made to give the canteen the needed clearance. Much harder to find than the belt itself. Nice accessory for your medical belt or WW1 canteen collection. Appears to have seen little if any use and is in excellent condition.
