    Description

Unique one of a kind vintage collectible collection.
    The Shark Jaws
The shark jaws are over 50 years old. I do not know the exact age. They belonged to my grandparents before me. I've had the fossil for over 30 years and it is obviously much older.
I believe the jaws are from a spinner shark. The spinner shark is a species of requiem shark, in the family Carcharhinidae, named for the spinning leaps it makes as a part of its feeding strategy. This species occurs in tropical and warm temperate waters worldwide, except for in the eastern Pacific.
The jaw measures approximately 8.5 inches across and 5 inches high.
    The Fish Fossil
I do not no the species or origin of the fish. The fossil was purchases at a fossil shop in Florida.
The sedimentary rock fossil measures 3 inches across, by 2 inches high, and 1 inch deep.
