    New reproduction of the most common style of valise used by officers in WWI.
    Army officers were required to purchase their own camp equipment in WWI. The canvas valise, in either undyed white or khaki, was a common item in the AEF. The valise carried the officer's spare uniforms and toiletries, while the canvas bedroll contained his bedding, cot, and other camp equipment.
