    Description
    An original Rock Island holster for the US .38 revolvers.  1904 dated and "EHS" stamped on the rear.  The front flap is marked "P.G."
    The leather is in very good condition, pliable and not cracked or hardened.  It would benefit from an application of preservative but remains in surprisingly good condition and the holster still has a good form, not wrinkled or misshapen. The only detraction here is that the seam that runs up the right side, which is the forward-facing side, has separated for about the first six inches down from the top. It's not obvious as the stitching is still present (versus open holes in the leather) and the two sides naturally want to remain together, as if they were still stitched.  So for display purposes this would be unnoticed.  Otherwise it could be restored by a person experienced in preserving vintage leather items.
    We'll ship this in a box to ensure it arrives undamaged.
