TLC American Beauty Queen Barbie With Ring and Bodysuit Mattel Superstar

In this listing we have American Beauty Queen Barbie. She is a really lovely doll. She was released by Mattel in the early 1990’s and is really stunning. This uses the Superstar face mold and is really pretty. She has long platinum blonde hair, large blue eyes, and a purple/pink lip color. She is articulated at the neck, shoulders, waist, hips, and has rubber internal clicking knees. She will come with her original bodysuit and ring. She was made in Malaysia.
This doll is mostly in good shape, but has several issues that make her TLC. Her hair has been brushed and is free from tangles. This is the thinner hair fiber, so she has a fair amount of broken strands of hair. There’s not a ton, but there’s a good amount. On the left side of her head at the back there’s a couple plugs that only have a few strands of hair in them. Her hair does feel a little dry and she will need some styling help. Her face paint looks good. You can see some of the texture of the vinyl through her face paint, mostly around her eyes, but this is only when you really look up close. On her left cheek to the diagonal left of her nostril she has a black dot (looks like a beauty mark), on the other side of her face she has a pink dot. Her earrings were removed. Around both earring holes, the vinyl looks a little jagged, so it might be sightly torn and I would be careful so they don’t rip any further. On the side of her face, a little bit in front of her right ear, there’s a dent in the vinyl. It could be a pin prick. It’s hard to see, but you can see it when looking for it. She has a similar spot behind her left ear. She has what looks like an air bubble or just a chunk of missing vinyl on her neck joint on the head. I would be very careful about it since this looks weak and could tear. I would not attempt to take off her head. Her body looks good. She does have some minor scratches and scuffs to her hard plastic torso. Her arms look good. She does not noticeable seam lines and there’s some scuffs to her arms. There’s to the underside of her left lower arm and on the palms of both hands. They are pretty minor, but you can see them. Her legs are good. They both bend and hold a pose for two clicks. They have a couple minor surface imperfections, but nothing too major. She does have three dark blue circle stains to the front of her right calf and one to the back of her right calf. Her body suit is okay, there’s a lot of wear to the silver lame. If you look up close there’s a lot of wear to the silver, especially around the bust. The ruffled trim seems to be coming off on the back left side. Her ring might actually be one of her earrings with the post cut off. There’s a lot of wear to the silver paint and the yellow plastic underneath is visible. Please examine all pictures to see the exact condition of this doll and remember that some issues might not be visible in pictures.
