Up for sale is a is very lush atlas printed in London in 1968 titled THE TIMES ATLAS OF THE WORLD Comprehensive Edition.  The pages are large, a little less that 12" X 18".  There's also an extensive index of cities and places etc to help find them faster.  Of course all this information is on-line now but taking photos and looking at this right now reminded me of how fun and educational a map can be--you discover things you weren't looking for and it leads to looking up more things.  It's really a great thing for a student who has been raised on computers to discover.  This edition was dedicated to Queen Elizabeth II.   This volume is marked on the inside cover with a label as "property of Charles I. Schneider".  Mr. Schneider was a friend of mine.  He was a very successful businessman and a self made millionaire in Southern California.  He lived in Beverly Hills, was a dashing gentleman who even occasionally dated stars such as Angie Dickinson.  The cover of the book has moderate wear.  The pages are in nice condition.  Two of the index pages are folded on the edge and I straightened them out.  This substantial volume weighs 9.5 pounds.
