First edition 1937 copy of "Magic That Perks", by Harry E. Cecil (1889-1964), "World's Worst Magician", with a foreword by Robert Climax Anderson. Cecil has signed and inscribed the booklet to Anderson, including a thanks for Anderson's amusing foreword, dated May 26, 1937.
Cecil was Vice President of the International Brotherhood of Magicians and invented the Zipper Banana effect; Anderson (1884-1944) was President of IBM (1941-42).
Enclosed in the book is an original typewritten draft of Anderson's foreword, leaving gaps for additional details added to the book prior to printing, as well as a one page flyer advertising the book.
72 page softcover book with various magic tricks including diagrams and illustrations.
CONDITION
Good condition showing general wear overall; much creasing and folds to corners.
