This auction is for a pair of new-old-stock horse carriage curved chrome plated shaft tug stops that come with a couple of extra tug stop posts and 8 extra replacement screws. The set also comes with 8 wood screws for mounting the units to the shafts. We do not see any manufacturer’s marks on the main unit or any of the components. One of the extra tug posts has a label on it that reads as follows: TUG STOP POSTS, CHROME 3-62300-31 .00. The 2 extra posts look to be somewhat different than the 2 posts that come with the main unit/bracket. These extra posts do however work with the main unit despite having slight variations. This lot also comes with 8 extra flathead replacement screws. We are unsure as to who manufactured these items or as to where they were made. We believe that these items were made within the last 5-10 years. The items all appear to be chrome plated. We are unsure as to what type of metal the items are comprised of. We tested the items with a magnet and they were attracted to the magnet although the attraction was not strong. The main curved component measures roughly 5 3/8” in length. The posts measure roughly 1 1/4“ in length not including the threaded parts. The combined weight of all of the items is roughly 15.5 oz. The items have what appears to be normal shelf/storage-type wear such as scratches, nicks, dings, etc. This pair of new-old-stock horse size carriage curved chrome plated shaft tug stops that come with a couple of extra tug stop posts and 8 extra replacement screws is sure to be a nice addition to your carriage.
