    Description

Original WWI Era US Army Engineer Corps Sighting Compass Cruchon Emons Berne.
Fantastic WWI US Army Engineer Corps sighting compass that is in marvelous shape for being a little over 100 years old.
The compass unlocks and seems to find true north. The dial spins freely and the glass and case is in wonderful vintage condition.
    The markings read:
    Cruchon & Emons,
    Berne (Switzerland)
    No 39049
The marking on the exterior top of the compass half reads:
    U.S.Engineer Corps
On the inside of the sighting half reads:
39049 (matching the number on the bottom)
Dates from between 1914 to 1918. Manufactured in Berne, Switzerland by Cruchon & Emons.
Very Good Condition. The soft, warm, original brass finish is present, minor wear, scuffing to glass and case.
