    Original WWI 1918 Dated 10 Pocket Cartridge Belt M1917 by L.C.C. & Co. Near Mint.
    For Sale is an Original WWI US Army 1918 Dated 10 Pocket Cartridge Belt M1917 Dismounted.
    The Belt, Cartridge, CAL .30 M-1917, Dismounted (Infantry) was the standard cartridge belt for Infantrymen in the U.S. Army during WW I and saw limited use in WW II as well. It is made from canvas and webbing and all hardware/fittings were brass and copper and finished in black . The color of the material was general Khaki. The belt held twenty (20) ,five (5) round stripper clips of .30 caliber rifle ammunition. The M-1917 Belt was used in conjunction with the US M 1903 Springfield Rifle and the M 1917 Rifle.
    This M1917 Cartridge Belt is in very good to near mint condition for being 103 years old. The canvas and webbing are in great pliable condition with no tears and very minor dirt or spots from storage. All of the metal fittings (buckles, flap snaps, eyelets and attaching components) are in very good condition with only minor scratches/wear.  This one appears to have never been issued or worn. The manufacturer is LCC & CO. The Right half of the belt is dated 9-18 the left half dated 8-18 and the connecting belt dated 7-18.  This is a great display piece and getting harder to find in this condition.
