    Description

    Offered is an original US Model 1912 Cavalry holster, modified to M1916 dismounted holster as shown.
    Hanger chape was removed (see stitch and rivet holes at top/rear) and a strip of leather attached as a belt loop.
    Under and below the loop can be seen the slots where the original leg strap would have attached.
    The internal block and "tear-drop" plug are missing.
    Pouch is still well formed, not smashed, with all original side stitching intact.
    Has a strong "US" in oval on the flap, with unit markings around the finial hole.
    A functional holster for a WWI living history enthusiast that will not "break" the bank!
