This auction is for a set of 12 foot new-old-stock Zilco Z-Grip single carriage driving harness pony size matte brown reins with a quick release buckle and sewn-in hand stops. The reins have an attached tag that reads in part as follows: ZILCO. REINS ZGRIP SINGLE, 368CM. SIZE: PONY. CLR: MATT BROWN. 434003. We believe that this item was made within the last 5-10 years. The reins have 2 different holes in them which allows them to be slightly adjusted. Both of the reins measure roughly 12 ft in length when fully laid out. The reins also measure roughly 3/4” wide and 1/8” thick. The hand sections have sewn stops at intervals along the reins to help prevent them from being pulled through the fingers. The metal buckles appear to be made of steel and were attracted to a magnet when tested. The steel buckles have wear, fading, scratches, nicks, and normal shelf-type wear. The reins also have normal shelf-type wear such as scratches, nicks, dings, and dusty areas. The combined weight of the reins is roughly 1 lb 6 oz.
