    The round silicone tube is for putting the unpeeled garlic in, you just roll it between your hands and the peel comes off quiet magically.  I have one like it, works well
    The plate has a rough surface that works well to grate the garlic and the brush can be used to move the garlic off the plate, clean the plate, or help to clean the garlic after peeling.
    Paper suggests it is also good for onion, ginger, strawberries, carrots, apples, pears, peppers etc.
