One Military Surplus 36" Signal Flare Parachute for Rockets, Toys, R/C, and just plain fun!
These are 36 inch diameter military flare chutes (never used).
Surplus stock from an out of business flare company
New Old Stock (NOS)
They are white nylon with heavy shroud lines with a center shroud line to prevent cupping.
Nine Shroud Lines In Total
These make great replacement chutes.
They can be dyed with common dyes sold at the grocery store.
These are well made with actual stitching everywhere.  Even the cover has grommets that the string goes through.
Cover looks to be lightweight canvas, and the chute looks to be ripstop nylon with nylon shroud lines stitched to canvas, then to the chute.
Cover says RAV P 2-2 and 1972 (some say 1973)
The case they were stored in says Cartridges, Signal UN 0054
Weight is about 1.8 oz with cover, 1.5 oz for the parachute and shroud lines.
