    Here is an original 1:12,500 military map of the Hue City; its Citadel, Southern City, and surrounding area.  "1:12,500" means that details are twice as large than on a regular 1:50,000 combat map.
    Hue was scene of the longest and bloodiest urban warfare battle of the 1968 Tet Offensive.
    Hue is also the ancient imperial capital of all Vietnam.  Within its walled citadel is the Forbidden City, home to the emperors.
