You are bidding on an original WWI M1907 leather sling.
The sling is marked T&B. Co., 1918, C.A.C. on the long strap and G&K 1918 on the short strap.
The leather is in good condition and is thick and pliable.
The leather is a medium brown and the short strap is lighter in color than the long strap.
The long strap is about 48 inches and the short strap is about 24 inches.
Both are 1 ¼ inch wide.
Some of the holes still have the leather punch outs intact.
The hooks are brass and all rivets are intact.
There are no ripped holes.
The sling comes with two original stitched leather keepers.
The sling keepers are very tight and have shrunk but do move.
The sling would be correct for the Models 1903, 1903A3, and 1903A4 Springfield’s, Rock Island, Remington, M1 Garand, and Model 1917 rifles.
Do not tighten the sling on the rifle. It should hang loosely.
With the sling being about 103 years old it should be used for display and not for actual use.
