M1 GARAND & SPRINGFIELD 1903 LEATHER SLING w WWI MARKINGS EXC CONDITION

Description

This sling is in outstanding condition
with some very minor wear.
It looks barely used.
It is clearly stamped
W. T. & B. 1918 R.E.W. and a partial double stamp on the short length and on the longer length G. & K 1918 C. W. A
. This sling has steel frogs which
are
very rare since they were supposed to come with brass frogs
in WWI
. The frogs are in great condition and they are securely attached. The leather is completely very clean, smooth,
strong,
soft and pliable. It comes with 2 very nice keepers. All sewing is completely intact and strong.
The longer section

as

hole pairs with slight surface cracking
and a slight amount in the surrounding area and a 1-2 with faint ones. There is a
slight wrinkling
crease
.
The shorter piece has some slight surface cracking on
5
hole
pair

and some of the surrounding area
.
It is a medium brown color.
Otherwise, the sling sections are very smooth. Overall, this is a beautiful sling. #7
