A blender timeline as seen through four recipe booklets / manuals for the Oster Company’s Osterizer blender, one per decade from 1948 - 1977.
1. “Delightful Osterizer Recipes Using Your Most Practical & Healthful Kitchen Appliance,” with a focus on diets for convalescents, invalids, and babies. Printed in USA, 1948. 64 pages. Very good physical condition. TIght two-staple binding. Minor water damage seen on back cover near spine. Black & white with green ink accents. no rips or tears observed.
2. “Deluxe Osterizer Recipes,” 96 pages. Minor discoloration to front cover but also fabulous MCM food photography. Some color photos and cool typography and MCM graphics remark the start of new sections. Strong two-staple binding. No tears or rips observed.
3. “Spin Cookery Blender Cook Book” for 8-speed push-button Osterizer. 1968. 80 pages. No color photos but some colored illustrations.
4. “Osterizer Blender Spin Cookery Cookbook” from 1977. 35 pages. Groovy 70s design. Strong two-staple binding. Minor wear to cover consistent with age.
