    Description
Keichousaurus is a marine reptile of the Pachypleurosaurus family that became extinct at the end of the Triassic period due to the mass extinction of organisms that occurred during the Triassic-Jurassic period. The name comes from Kweichow (now Guizhou) in China, where the first fossil specimen was discovered in 1957. These are one of the most common Sauropterygia fossils and are often seen as near-complete articular skeletons and are popular with collectors.

Age: 242 million years (Triassic, Spacian period)
