Gold Award Patch
.
This is the highest award for Girl
s ages 14-18
(Seniors and Ambassadors) and signifies completion of a Gold Award
project. This award focuses on a girls interests and personal journey through leadership skills,
career explorations, self-improvement, and service.
This award was updated and revised version was issued just this year -
this is
the NEW version that is available after 2011
.
You might not know there is a
difference if you don't know what to look for.  In the old version, the biggest difference is a
there is now a white background, instead of blue
.
Also, the rays in the
sunburst are now filled in, as opposed to being hollow, and the bottom of the trefoil in
pointed instead of rounded.
This award is only available with approval
through the council to girls that have actually completed the project, so this parch can be hard
to come by for collectors!  *Note: While this is an earned award, it is only for wear on the back
of the sash.

Condition is very important to collectors!
