    Description

    WW 1 Period officers saddle sandwich box and flask. Heavy leather pouch 5 3/4" wide by 5" high by 1 5/8" deep. Cover is secured by a leather  strap to a white  metal single tongue buckle. The reverse side has 2 leather straps for attachment to saddle Secured to white metal (some rust) single tongue buckles. One the lower rear sidle to the right is  an 8" double adjustable strap that could be used as another means of attachment. Also has a white metal (some rust) single tongue buckle. No stitching faults to the pouch. leather in good order. pouch holds 2 item. One is a Hallmarked silver sandwich box, 4 3/4' x 3" x 1 1/4". interior of the bottom of the box is marked one above the other as follows: Double headed axe / bugle with banner / ?D&S / EPBM / 916M. The silver polishing. The other item in the pouch is a heavy glass flask, with a hallmarked silver tilting head marked with a trumpet and banner on one side DDB on the other.
