    This is a rare fossil of TWO intact Branchiosaurus amphibian skeletons from the Lower Permian in Germany. The pit that this fossil came from was closed in 1984, so these have to now be acquired from old collections - this specimen is from an old German collection. The fossil skeletons are very easily seen displayed on the plate. The heads, backbones, some legs, and tails are all well preserved. The ancient amphibians are beautifully showcased on the large, natural-edged plate of shale. This is a very collectible example of TWO Permian Branchiosaurus amphibian skeletons.
