The Dunninger Portfolio was the first release in our Masters of Mentalism series...and now it's back and better than ever!
Osterlind Mysteries is once again making the legendary Dunninger Portfolio, handmade by Richard Osterlind, available to the mentalism community! Dunninger was said to have made his props at the kitchen table and that is exactly where Richard makes each of these portfolios from scratch by hand. Not only will you have a piece of mentalism history, but you will be the proud owner of one of the most versatile and useful mentalism props ever devised.
The Dunninger Portfolio starts off with two layers of bookbinding chipboard glued together with the grain running in opposite directions to make it sturdier and stronger. The board is then covered with a thick faux leather cloth that is well-appointed and durable. In mounting this material, we have incorporated a slight ledge on the bottom of the inside of the board so that it will hold a standard 8.5 X 11" sheet of paper without any clips or screws. Just drop in the paper and you are ready to go!
The whole outfit makes for a luxurious prop that looks like it came from a fine stationer. The clean and simple lines look great and you can open it instantly with just one hand affording perfect cover for whatever routine you are performing. This is top quality classic mentalism at its finest

One year before Richard Osterlind developed his Breakthrough Card System, he set out to create an entirely new act for his professional shows. It was then that the ThoughtScan Q & A act was created. It has served him for over 35 years in performances throughout the United States and in countless countries around the world.

ThoughtScan is based after the Dunninger mindreading routine. Small cards are passed out to the audience and they are invited to write down personal information or questions. We do not have the original instructions for the Thoughtscan but will give you something if you win that will make you very happy!

1. JUST TO BE CLEAR, YES you are getting BOTH Osterlind's Thoughtscan board AND the Dunninger Portfolio. You also get the Original Al Mann Black Box manuscript.
2. The Dunninger Portfolio is very labor intensive to make. Osterlind's is a thing of beauty and it is LIGHT. I have no idea how he made money selling these. They were a steal at the time.
