I just came across a closeout deal on a bunch of excellent DVDs -- I picked out only the best ones, with creators and performers that truly deserve to be studied by all serious students of magic.   I have more than 20 great titles to list, so for now, not much in the way of descriptions.
Since I am saving time on descriptions, you can save money on the prices.  I'll list them at SUPER LOW prices.    (Get 'em now, because after I take time for detailed descriptions, the prices will have to go up!)
Look at the photo of the DVD case notes to get a better idea of the DVD content.  And trust me, these are excellent DVDs by successful professionals and deserved stars in the magical firmament.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT OF THE MAGIC GADGET SITE's eBay store!!
DON ALAN on the MAGIC RANCH  -- the complete 1961 TV series (THREE DVD set)
--published by THE MIRACLE FACTORY IN 2007.
I was one year old when Don Alan's Magic Ranch was being broadcast on television.  So I guess it was technically not before my time, but it was about a decade before my time in magic began.    How wonderful to have a chance to finally see it, at last.
This great 3-DVD set collects all 13 episodes of the Magic Ranch series, and although many magicians who have never seen black-and-white TV may find the video quality lacking, I was actually surprised that the video quality was better than I expected.    (In fact, some of the episodes are shown in color, and those ones are less crisp, but still pretty good quality for 60 year old footage.
Too much to highlight here, but seeing Alan perform routines like Silver Extraction, Stack of Quarters, the Dancing Hank, and of course, his chop cup and invisible deck.  (Interesting that his invisible deck performance is combined with a sort of card stab routine...)   Among many other things.  Notable is a neat variation of the spike through balloon using three balloons in three connected tubes.  Spike pops the out balloons but penetrates the center one without harming it -- simple, but genius, modification to the usual handling.
Along with Don Alan's performances (he does two sets on each show), you get to see many of the era's great performers:  Al Flosso, Neil Foster, Richard Himber, Senator Crandall, Jack Gwynne, Johnny Platt, Jay Marshall, Karrell Fox, and others.   And each episode features an up-and-coming teenage magician performer, which will no doubt remind you of your early performances and routines.
No tricks are taught on this DVD set, but for any attentive magician with a good base of magical knowledge, you can find a wealth of ideas to apply to your own routines, and also get a marvelous glimpse into where magic was 60 years ago.   You will also learn how many of the jokes you are telling in your act are at least 60 years old  :-)
THREE DVDs in one special triple DVD case.    Check out the photos of the DVD case back cover for details.
Retail on these DVD set is 0, but I'll do better than that, since I want more magicians to see this wonderful series.    I only found three of these sets, and I kept one for my own library.  So just TWO of them for sale.   So don;t wait too long if you want it at this price.
CONDITION:   New and unopened.    Ne-old dealer inventory, still shrink wrapped.   AUTHENTIC MIRACLE FACTORY DVDs -- no bootlegs here!  ever!
