I was out hunting and found this Colorful Coprolite in the Mohave Desert. It is extremely smooth from tumbling down the canyons over millions of years. Please see Picture #10 showing how I use mineral oil on my special collection to keep their shine as if they were wet. Rubbing mineral oil brings out the colors and patterns of a Coprolite allowing it to stay beautiful for your viewing pleasure. Included in your package is the definition of Coprolite printed on nice stationary.
Excellent product satisfaction and a 100% customer service record from all my Coprolite customers. Thank you for looking.
I lived in California for 35 years and we had a river house in Arizona we frequented on the weekends. My older neighbor and Rock Hound would take me to his special locations to hunt for Coprolite. Twenty five years ago my mother took two samples to the Los Angeles Natural History Museum to verify them as Coprolite. She was escorted down the elevator to a Dinosaur processing room by two paleontologists. There they verified her pieces as Dinosaur Coprolite and showed her around the facility. They wanted her to donate her Coprolite to the museum, but she declined at the time. I wish she would have left them for research or display purposes.
I attended Lapidary courses at the college after moving to Arizona 12 years ago. This is where the professor who teaches lapidary and jewelry making verified my specimens to be Coprolite. Several Rock clubs both local and out of state come to Arizona to search for Coprolites.
Coprolite
is fossilized excrement of animals. This specimen was found in the state of Arizona. Preserved under unique conditions almost 130 million years ago. A typical specimen weighs a few ounces up to several pounds. These Coprolites found in Arizona are very smooth from tumbling through the canyons and valleys over many years. The colors and patterns are all similar, but each rock maintains its own beauty by color and design.
