Its great to find bones of a dinosaur and you can many times uncover what the bones are from, provided there is an exact match described and available for study. In the Judith River formation, Hadrosaurs like Lambeosaurus magneventis or Hypacrosaurus have been identified so when we uncover a new cache of bones it is often applied to the new find. However, some bones really reveal
themselves
as to what they are not! This fine Jaw was an underground find covered completely in rock. It was found near many other bones and carnivore teeth. The great thing about jaws is they are part of the face so in my opinion, deserve a name. So, George here, was found complete but cracks in the jaw opened and filled with sediment. The sediment was removed and cracks filled to stabilize. The tip of the beak was restored to give

a chance to tell his own story! He has said a lot. He has declared he is not Lambeosaurus or Hypcrosaurus but is Corythosaurus sp. The closest documented animal species is Corythosaurus Brevicristatus. However, this animal is only described from Canada. It is a new undescribed species of Corythosaur sp.  Thanks George!
