These shells are harvested from the Sea of Cortez, Baja, Mexico. Strand measures 22" long. Beads measure 4mm up to 12mm wide. Spiny Oyster shell beads were used by Native Americans as currency and jewelry inlay. Beautiful variety of colors; Pale purple, maroon, tan, yellow ochre. All of the beads are handpicked at international trade shows and journeys. I do all my own string designing! All natural, nothing added. ~not a finished necklace~ enjoy this exact pictured strand!
