"Made from Ex-German Submarine Germany"
Broken by Robert Smith & Sons,
Birkenhead.
At the end of World War I had to
Germany its submarine fleet
to Britain and France.
Most were sunk,
but Britain retained two.
In 1923 they were separated for scrap.
The ashtrays were made of copper
Electric motors made and issued as souvenirs.
