    Description

Antique Original US Marines, Cavalry, Army Model 1910 World War I
    GI Condiment Can
The Model 1910 condiment can was introduced by the US military Equipment Board of 1909.  Its purpose was to provide a storage space for the individual GI’s coffee, sugar, salt and other spices.  It was constructed of tin, iron or steel with the main body separated into two compartments by a divider in the center.  Each of those two compartments had a screw-on cap (one at each end).  One of the caps has a compartment about ½ inch deep with a tight fitting pry-off lid.
While can we are selling appears to have some wear to the tinned outside, it has to be from long storage from over 100 years since the can was never used and the inside has no residue of any kind in it.  A museum quality example for any military collector.  Our photos show the actual item offered for sale.
