1917 WW I
According to Smithsonian National Museum Information:
This was produced for Soldiers in WWI.
They were issued a Khaki one but the metal version
could be purchased for 5.00 at Sears and Roebuck.
Note: Dust , wear on inside from use, discolor and marks on outside from use and age,
Spring mechanism for opening box is in working condition.
Measures 4 1/8" x 2" x 3/4"
