Description

(5) Richardoestesia Teeth
These five dagger shaped teeth come from the raptor, Richardoestesia.  This raptor's name is derived from its original finder, "Richard Estes".  The little that is known about Richardoestesia comes from two almost complete dentaries with unerupted teeth present.  The teeth of Richardoestesia are easily identified by their tiny serrations and triangular shape.
These five Richardoestesia teeth were all found in one piece needing no restoration.  The teeth all have natural feeding wear and a couple of the teeth have quite a bit of enamel wear.  One of the teeth has broken away from its root unevenly and another tooth has light discoloration due to plant roots.  The five teeth all have nice detail and preservation with a dark brown to black coloration.  All around a nice group of Richardoestesia teeth.
The largest Richardoestesia tooth measures:  3/16" of an inch wide by 3/4" of an inch in length.
The smallest Richardoestesia tooth measures:  1/8" of an inch wide by 3/8" of an inch in length.
These five Richardoestesia teeth were dug out of a microsite in the Hell Creek Formation of Powder River County, Montana.  The five fossils were collected on private ranch land with the owner's permission.
