ITEM:
G.M. CONVERTIBLE TOP "HARD PARADE BOOT COVER", AS WAS OPTIONAL ON THE FULL SIZED 1971-76 CONVERTIBLES.
DONOR CAR:
1974 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible
COMPATABILITY:
1971-76 Cadillac Eldorado and the 1971-75 "B-Body" Convertibles (Impala/Caprice, LeSabre/Centurion, Delta 88, Bonneville/Grandville).
CONDITION:
Physical condition is superb.  Not chipped, the interlocks are complete, etc.
DETAILS:
This is a LEGIT original GM Parade Boot Cover, not one of the bogus "not really an exact reproduction" replacement things that are hawked these days.  It came off of a 1974 Eldorado that just arrived this weekend.  It was originally painted Dynasty Red (1974 color) but the owner repainted the car metallic dark brown (ahem!).  The underside still shows the red.
Physically, it's a great 2-piece cover set.  Many times these 48 year old originals will be so beat up, with broken interlocks, huge chips, etc.  This panel does not have any of those.  Aside from the really poor paint on it (you will be repainting it anyway...) it's a fine original example.  The pads are complete, as are the rear clips.  One of the pin sets is missing, probably want to buy a new pair once painted so that it looks perfect.  Interlocks are complete.  This will make a superb OEM ORIGINAL Parade Boot once installed on your 1970's convertible.  P.S.  That is some random window gasket sealer on one of the panels, it wiped right off after I took pics.
