    Description

One of the most useful, and hard to find, wartime cookbooks out there from WW2 is this booklet from Westinghouse showing how to pack good lunches for war workers - men or women, day or night shift. Part of the Health for Victory movement of the government, it focuses on making sure the worker has enough variety and quality so they will get enough to eat to keep working.
Lots of very useful ideas for packing a nutritious lunch that will hold up without refrigeration - certainly would still be useful today.  Also suggestions on staggering home meals to coincide with the worker's schedule so families can still eat together.  Rationing is also mentioned.
Very interesting small black and white photos of workers in the war factories.
