    Description

    1910 United States Army experimental backpack / Saddle Bags.  Made to convert between the two.  There is a canvas strap that weaves the two together for the backpack part.  They can be unwoven to sit astride a horse and act as saddle bags.  The stamp pictured is the stronger of the two - the other looks the same but is more faint.
