    Description

    Model 1903 U.S Haversack, nicely stenciled for the 14th NY Infantry. This was the descendant of the famous 14th Brooklyn Regiment, that served with distinction during the Civil War. In World War I, the 14th would send men to the 165th and 106th Infantry and the 2nd Pioneer Infantry.
    This haversack dates from the period between the Spanish-American War and WWI.
    Rack number "605" stenciled on the flap. Leather thong to tie inner bag is broken, as most are. Belt hooks on the back are intact. Surface spotting and staining commensurate with age. Photos are part of the description.
