13" Pleistocene Florida alligator lower jaw!

    Description

    Here's a rare find, a
    Pleistocene fossil
    alligator jaw found in Gilchrist county, Florida.
    Most of these jaws are found in sections with many teeth missing.  I can't tell for certain if the teeth are original or added later, but they appear to have the same patina as the jaw and it looks convincing to me.  There are some obvious repairs in the jaw and some of the teeth appear to be repaired as well.  I purchased this jaw from a reputable dealer at the Tucson show in 2015.  It's a great display piece.
